Meet Henry Anderson, a Sydney-based filmmaker with over seven years of industry experience, specialising in lighting and cinematic visual storytelling. For the past three years, Henry has worked as a gaffer and Best Person with Shaping Light, contributing to high-end commercial, narrative, and live productions across Australia.
With a strong foundation in shaping light on set, Henry has also stepped into select cinematography roles, including Director of Photography on Jack Kearney’s feature film The Prep Room (2024), as well as short films such as Social Pseudocide (2023). His work is defined by a considered, cinematic approach grounded in technical precision and collaboration.
Henry’s experience spans commercials, music videos, and live camera operation, with clients including Commonwealth Bank, Cricket Australia, Woolworths, Opera Australia, and Tennis Australia, among others. Driven by a deep appreciation for light and story, he continues to refine his craft while delivering visually compelling work across a broad range of screen formats.
